ISBN Policy - Dr. BGR Publications
Introduction
Dr. BGR Publications provides ISBN processing services for books, edited volumes, conference proceedings, and academic publications in accordance with the guidelines of the ISBN Agency of India.
1. Scope of Service
📌ISBN services are provided only for publications to be published under Dr. BGR Publications.
📘ISBN is allotted title-wise and format-wise (Print / eBook).
🗂️ISBN processing includes administrative handling, documentation, verification, coordination, website update, indexing and record maintenance with the ISBN Agency.
2. Processing Charges
💸ISBNs are issued free of cost
ℹ️Dr. BGR Publications does not receive any payment for the ISBN number itself.
🧾The processing charge collected by Dr. BGR Publications is strictly for administrative services, including documentation, coordination, verification, communication, and internal record maintenance.
🚫All processing charges are non-refundable once the request is initiated.
🔒No hidden or additional fees are charged at any stage of the process.
3. Two-Stage ISBN Process
Stage 1 – Preliminary Processing: Receipt of request and processing fee. ISBN is not applied at this stage.
Stage 2 – Final Confirmation: ISBN is applied only after confirmation accepting Dr. BGR Publications as the final publisher.
4. Publisher Exclusivity
📛Once ISBN processing is initiated, the publication must not be submitted to another publisher.
⚠️If the author/editor/organizer chooses to proceed with another publisher, Dr. BGR Publications reserves the right to discontinue or surrender the ISBN process.
5. Cancellation & Discontinuation
❌In case of cancellation or change of publisher, the ISBN (if already applied) will be formally surrendered and marked as unused.
📕No publication will be released by Dr. BGR Publications under the cancelled request.
💼Processing charges remain non-refundable, as they cover administrative work already performed.
6. Compliance & Ethics
Dr. BGR Publications strictly follows the rules, ethical standards, and compliance requirements of the ISBN Agency of India. All ISBNs are handled responsibly to ensure they are not misused, duplicated, retained without publication, or transferred to other publishers.
7. Policy Acceptance
By submitting an ISBN request and making the processing payment, the author/editor/organizer confirms acceptance of this ISBN Policy of Dr. BGR Publications.

ISBNs are issued free of cost by the ISBN Agency of India. Any charges collected by Dr. BGR Publications are strictly towards administrative and processing services, including documentation, webpage creation for the book, digital archiving, and international indexing support.
Dr. BGR Publications reserves the right to discontinue or surrender ISBN processing if the author, editor, or organizer chooses to publish the work with another publisher, fails to respond within the stipulated timeframe, or does not remit the applicable Book Processing Charges (BPC). All unused ISBNs will be handled strictly in accordance with the regulations of the ISBN Agency of India.
