About Author

Dr. P. Manikandan has been serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Education and Sports at Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli, since 2012. He holds a B.Sc. Physical Education, B.P.Ed, M.P.Ed, M.Sc. in Psychology, M.Sc. in Yoga, M.P.Ed., M.Phil., and Ph.D. degrees, reflecting his comprehensive expertise in the field.

With over 14 years of academic experience, Dr. P. Manikandan has significantly contributed to the field through more than 80 conference presentations, including over 50 at national and international seminars. Additionally, he has authored 15 research papers published in reputed national and international journals. His research interests encompass sports psychology, yoga, and physical education methodologies.

Beyond his scholarly work, Dr. Manikandan plays an active role in departmental activities, notably in organizing inter-collegiate and inter-university tournaments, thereby fostering sportsmanship and academic collaboration.

Dr. G. Kanagaraj is an esteemed academic and sports educator currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Education & Sports at Manonmaniam Sundaranar University (MSU), Tirunelveli. His academic journey began with a B.Sc. in Physical Education, followed by a B.P.Ed. from YMCA College of Physical Education. He further pursued an M.P.Ed., M.Phil., and Ph.D. at MSU, and also completed a National Sports Coaching Diploma (NSNIS) from the National Institute of Sports, Patiala.           

Dr. G. Kanagaraj’s professional experience spans various roles in the field of physical education. He commenced his career as a Physical Education Teacher at Bell Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Palayamkottai. Subsequently, he served as the Director of Physical Education at Thamirabharani Engineering College, Tirunelveli, before joining MSU as an Assistant Professor.

His scholarly contributions include over 10 research articles published in reputable national and international journals. Dr. G.Kanagaraj has actively participated in various national and international conferences and seminars, presenting his research findings.

Dr. G. Kanagaraj’s areas of expertise encompass physical education pedagogy, sports psychology, yoga and wellness, and sports management and administration. His extensive experience and contributions to the field underscore his commitment to advancing physical education and sports sciences.

Dr. R. Petchimuthu is an esteemed Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Education at Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, located in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. With a robust academic foundation and extensive experience in the field of physical education,   Dr. Petchimuthu has significantly contributed to both teaching and research.

Mr. S. Dinesh Philip Vinoth is a dedicated academician and practitioner in the field of Physical Education, with a strong foundation in both theoretical knowledge and practical experience. He began his educational journey at St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School in Vickramasingapuram, completing his SSLC in 2002 and HSC in 2004. He went on to earn his B.Sc. in Physical Education from M.D.T. Hindu College, Tirunelveli (2004–2007), followed by a B.P.Ed. from the prestigious Y.M.C.A College of Physical Education (2007–2008).

Continuing his academic pursuits, he obtained an M.P.Ed. (2009–2011) and M.Phil. (2012) from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli, where he is currently pursuing his Ph.D.

The author has actively contributed to the academic community through several paper presentations at reputed institutions. His research interests span across various dimensions of physical education, including the impact of modern training techniques, the role of parental influence on children’s motor abilities, and the effectiveness of core stability and endurance training among athletes. His work has been showcased at conferences held by institutions such as Maruthi College of Physical Education, Ayya Nadar Janaki Ammal College, and Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya College, among others.

Professionally, he has served as the Physical Education Director at P.S.N. College of Engineering and Technology, Tirunelveli (2014–2021). Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at St. John’s College of Physical Education, Veeravanallur, where he continues to inspire and mentor future educators and athletes.
