About the Author
The author, Dr. C. P. Balakrishnan, has over 19 years of teaching and 21 years of research experience. Presently he is working as an associate professor and head of the Department of Botany of Aditanar College of Arts and Science, Virapandianpatnam, Tiruchendur, Tamil Nadu. He has published two books, 26 research papers, and two e-contents. He is an expert in the field of Phycology and also he served as a consultant on Mushroom cultivation.
Dr. C. P. Balakrishnan served as a principal investigator in a UGC-funded major research project and coordinator in a TNSCST-funded DIT program. In addition, he has been a member of the Board of Studies, an editor, a reviewer, and an environmental audit member, and he also served as a former treasurer and life member of the Seaweed Research and Utilization Association.
About the Manual
This manual provides details about the reference studies of plant diversity, including algae, bryophytes, pteridophytes, and gymnosperms, and touches lightly on microbes and the embryology of angiosperms, cell organelles, and fundamentals of genetics. This manual could be helpful as a hand guide for undergraduate students to understand botany practical. Here with the author shares the information simply with diagrams. This manual could help the students to understand the constant quality and accuracy of the diversity of plants under laboratory environments.
