Abstract

The Asian Palmyra tree (Borassus flabellifer), widely distributed across tropical Asia, and has been traditionally used in various medicinal applications. The leaf secretions of this tree are known for their bioactive compounds, which contribute to their wound-healing properties. This review summarizes the phytochemical constituents, mechanisms of action, and therapeutic applications of Palmyra leaf secretions in wound healing, highlighting their potential for modern pharmacological research.
