Students willingness to pay Municipal Household Solid Waste (MHSW) collection service in their locality

The present study was conducted at V.H.N.Senthikumara Nadar College (Autonomous), students to find out the willingness to pay for municipal household solid waste collection and transport services. The study was performed with 200 students (99 girls and 101 boys). Data was collected using Google forms questionnaire. The results pertaining to whether households are willing to pay some amount to get a better municipal household solid waste management service revealed that in student’s community 59 % of respondents were willing to contribute and while, 41 % of respondents not ready to pay any amount as service cost for better management of solid waste.
