📘 Authored Book Template

(Single or Multiple Authors – Complete Book by Same Author(s))

An authored book is a complete manuscript written by one or more authors where all chapters are developed by the same contributor(s). This format is ideal for textbooks, reference books, research monographs, and academic course materials.

Recommended Structure

  1. Front Cover – Represents the academic identity of the book. Includes title, author name(s), and publisher imprint.
  2. Title Page – Official presentation page containing full title, subtitle (if any), author affiliation, and publisher details.
  3. Copyright Page – Legal protection page including ISBN, year of publication, and rights statement.
  4. Dedication (Optional) – Personal academic tribute section.
  5. Preface / Foreword (Optional) – Provides the purpose, scope, and academic vision of the book.
  6. Acknowledgement – Recognition of institutional, academic, or research support.
  7. Table of Contents – Structured outline of chapters for reader navigation and indexing.
  8. Syllabus Mapping (If Applicable) – Helpful for university-aligned textbooks.

📚 Edited Volume Template

(Multiple Authors – Different Chapters by Different Contributors)

An edited volume consists of chapters written by different authors under the guidance of one or more editors. This format is widely used for conference proceedings, thematic research collections, and interdisciplinary academic works.

Recommended Structure

  1. Front Cover – Book title with “Edited by” and Editor Name(s).
  2. Title Page – Includes book title, editor details, and institutional affiliation.
  3. Copyright Page – ISBN, publication year, and copyright declaration.
  4. Preface by Editor(s) – Explains theme, academic importance, and contribution framework.
  5. Acknowledgement – Credits to contributors and supporting institutions.
  6. Table of Contents – List of chapters with respective author names.
